Rules for Forming Comparative/Superlative Adjectives

1. One syllable adjectives form their comparative by adding ER to the positive form.
2. One syllable adjectives form their superlative by adding EST to the positive form.
3. Adjectives of three syllables or more form the comparative by putting MORE before the adjective.
4. Adjectives of three syllables or more form the superlative by putting MOST before the adjective.
5. There are some irregular comparisons. Better, for example, is the COMPARATIVE form of 'good'
