Words with prefixes-Lesson 17th

Hey Kids!
These are the words that you must have now in your notebooks. Don't forget that we'll have quiz on Wednesday about them.


illogical: Does not make sense, not logical
illuminate: Make lighter or brighter
immobile: Not capable of movement or of being moved
immovable: Not able or intended to be moved. "the immovable hills"
impartial: Not in favor of one side or the other
impassive: Not feeling or showing emotion
impress: Make a deep and indelible impression on someone
improper: Not appropriate for a purpose or occasion
inability: Not having the ability to do something
inaccessible: Impossible or not easy to reach
inadequate: Not good enough for what is needed
inadmissible: Not deserving to be admitted
inappropriate: Not in keeping with what is correct or proper
inattentive: Not paying attention
inaudible: Impossible to hear; imperceptible by the ear
indigestion: A disorder of digestive function characterized by discomfort or heartburn or nausea
ineffective: Not effective; not producing the desired effect; of little use
insecure: Not firm, not safe, lacking self confidence
irrational: That does not make sense; not rational; absurd
irresponsible: Not responsible; people who don't do what they say they will do
